Which medical intervention and complications are covered?

Travel health insurance is covered tooth extraction, surgical tooth extraction, root canal treatment, implant application, prosthetic tooth application, periodontology applications, dental crowns, removal of implants and crowns, dentures and laser teeth whitening practices.

Adverse reaction to anaesthesia, idiopathic wound infection, unusual swelling, excessive bleeding or wound rupture requiring urgent dental intervention, delayed bleeding related to surgical tooth extraction, gingival infection, retained tooth fragment, and implant failure, displacement or dislocation of the implant after implant practice and damage to the jawbone are covered as a dental complication.

Are there any restrictions on Cover?

Conditions that not covered are;

-If chin implants, chin alignment, temporomandibular TMD/TMJ treatments and all orthodontic treatments are applied in conjunction with or separately from the above covered dental treatments, all the said treatment costs,

-Costs incurred for corrective treatment that is not medically necessary,

-Costs incurred if the dentist performing the Covered Dental Treatment fails to follow the pre-procedure recommendations or post-procedure care instructions,

Costs resulting from the professional negligence of the dentist,

-Expenses incurred for corrective treatment if you continue to receive dental treatment in contrary to the dentist’s advice, even though it was determined in the pre-procedure evaluation that the Covered Dental Treatment will not provide a positive result,

-The cost of secondary or complementary treatments planned as part of Covered Dental Treatment,

-In the absence of panoramic X-rays taken before and at the end of the treatment, panoramic X-rays taken after the complication occurs, and the treatment plan prepared before the first treatment, since the claim adjustment cannot be determined, the claim will be considered out of coverage.

Which medical intervention and complications are covered?

Travel health insurance is covered infection, scar, numbness after apronectomy, capsule formation-contracture, asymmetry, sagging, nipple sensory disturbance after breast augmentation (Mammoplasty) surgery, haematoma, chemosis, cicatricial ectropion after eyelid aesthetic (Blepharoplasty Upper / Lower) surgery, hard ear, haematoma, infection after ear fixation surgery, nasal tip drop, curvature, nasal septum perforation after nose (rhinoplasty) surgery.

Are there any restrictions on Cover?

Conditions that not covered are;

  • Expenses incurred for corrective treatment that is not medically necessary,
  • Bleeding due to vaginal rejuvenation procedures, uterine rupture.

Which medical intervention and complications are covered?

Travel health insurance is covered the transplanted hair follicles do not hold or an infection develops on the hair skin even though the insured complies with the recommendations given by the physician performing the hair transplantation procedure, therapeutic procedures and revision hair transplantation.

Are there any restrictions on Cover?

Conditions that not covered are;

  • Complications that occurs as a result of the insured’s failure to perform the necessary care after hair transplantation
    recommended by the treating physician and failure of hair transplantation
  • In revision hair transplantation, hair transplantation performed in a different area or more than the number
    transplanted in the first medical intervention

Which medical intervention and complications are covered?

Travel health insurance is covered;

Excimer laser surgery; infection, flap dislocation, DLK (Diffuse Lamellar Keratitis), epithelial ingrowth under the flap, visual impairment of more than 0.75 degree on examination 60 days after surgery.
Laser-assisted eye surgery; inadequate and excessive correction.
Cataract surgery; bleeding, infection (painful, red and swollen eye), disruption of capsular integrity (tear in the posterior capsule), oedema and loss of transparency in the corneal layer, posterior capsule clouding (opacification), burns at the incision site, retinal decollement except as a result of trauma, droopy eyelid, eye pressure disease (glaucoma) and / or double vision; visual impairment of more than 1 degree on examination conducted 60 days after surgery.
Pitosis surgery; recurrence of droopy eyelid.
Glaucoma surgery; infection, bleb leakage, conjunctival tear, scleral flap damage, vitreous loss, central visual field loss, decompression retinopathy, suprachoroidal bleeding, uveitis.
Retinal decollement surgery; recurrence of decollement, intraocular bleeding, cataract and glaucoma.

Are there any restrictions on Cover?

Conditions that not covered are;

  • Medical interventions related to chemotherapy-induced glaucoma.

What is Insured?

Medical insurance provides complication-related benefits. It include; inpatient treatment expenses, accommodation expenses (up to 10 days), transfer benefit, and treatment benefit at home (if selected).

It also provides personal accident related benefits. It covers accidental death and accidental disability.

Health insurance also provides travel health benefits. These include medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, death repatriation, personal responsibility, legal fees (cash advance), bail bond (cash advance) and Gulf Insurance assistance services.

What is Not Insured?

All expenses associated with the first medical intervention, all complications arising before the insured person travels abroad or returns to his/her home country and if physician who carried out the medical intervention cannot certify in a report that the given recommendations have been followed, the insurance is not covered.

Travel health insurance also is not covered the dissatisfaction due to personal taste and their elimination or at the request of the insured in connection with revision initiatives in line with they go.

It is not covered complications related to any medical treatment or practices other than the covered intervention.

It also doesn’t cover the complications that occur within 10 days following the insured’s discharge from the hospital.

All expenses that may arise as a result of misinformation of the insured by the health institution.

Where am I covered?

Travel health insurance is only valid in Turkey. (Not valid in Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic)

Only TREATMENT AT HOME COVERAGE stated under the item of COMPLICATION ASSOCIATED BENEFITS is valid abroad. (expect for Iraq, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, North Korea, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and the Crimea region)

When does the cover start and end?

Health insurance coverage start at date stated on the policy or by the insured’s entry from the customs of Turkish Republic whichever is late. And it ends at date stated on the policy or by the insured’s exit from the customs of Turkish Republic whichever is earlier.

Policy coverage is valid for a maximum insurance period of 92 days per one trip. It provides coverage for up to 2 (two) trips within the policy period.

COMPLICATION RELATED BENEFITS associated to medical interventions that occur between the policy inception and ending dates and specified under the COVERED INTERVENTION title of the policy are valid for 180 days as of the policy inception date.

How do I cancel the contract?

We will cancel your policy and refund your premium upon your written request before the policy start date, unless you do not perform your health tourism trip due to cancellation or postponement of the treatment or make a claim for compensation.
