About Prof. Dr. İlker Yazıcı

Prof. Dr. İlker Yazıcı completed his graduation in medicine in 1998 in Ankara at the Faculty of Medicine of Gazi University. There he specialized in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and received his specialist degree in 2004.
Subsequently, he had the opportunity to gain experience abroad at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the USA as a research fellow in the Department of Plastic Surgery&Microsurgery. The areas of microcirculation, tissue freezing procedures, and experimental neurosurgery were also part of his responsibilities.

PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS & AWARDS

During his tenure as a faculty member from 2006 to 2013 at Kırıkkale University, he actively trained residents and students.He received the title of associate professor in the field of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2012, and was also awarded a diploma in the specialties of Hand Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by the Turkish Ministry of Health.

CAREER

As part of the EURAPS fellowship for young doctors, which he received in 2012, he spent three months at Töölö Hospital in Helsinki. Since the year 2012, he has held the EBOPRAS certificate (European Board Certificate in Plastic Surgery).In the period from 2013 to 2016, he worked as an associate professor of plastic surgery in Istanbul at Florence Nightingale Hospital at Istanbul Bilim University Şişli. He then worked for the University of Medipol Hospital in Istanbul. 

Since 2022, Dr. İlker Yazıcı has been welcoming patients to his private practice in Şişli.The professor’s specialized fields are rhinoplasty, facial paralysis correction, and aesthetic tumor and reconstruction procedures of the head and neck region; body and breast aesthetics as well as cancer reconstruction.Dr. İlker Yazıcı has two patents pending in his field of expertise. 

MEMBERSHIPS

He is a member of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the Turkish Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery.
