Acıbadem Atakent Hospital was established in 2014 by Acıbadem Healthcare Group with its diagnostic and treatment services in all fields of medicine and its large and experienced staff of medical professionals on 60,000 m² of closed area as a “university hospital” affiliated to Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University in Istanbul’s Küçükçekmece district with a long history.

In 2020, it received the JCI accreditation for academic medical centres, which ensures the maintenance of the highest level of quality and efficiency of services by reviewing patient- and organisation-oriented standards.

In addition to its quality and success, Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Atakent Hospital, which has a cafeteria, a hair salon and a place of worship on its premises, is also very advantageous due to its location, as it is close to modern shopping malls, the Mall of Istanbul, which was awarded “Best of the Best” among shopping malls at the VIVA Best of the Best 2017 Awards, and Marmara Forum’s, one of the 5 largest and one of the first shopping malls in Turkey. It is about 15 minutes away from Carousel Mall, whose symbol is a colourful carousel.

For those who want to do their shopping outdoors, Taksim Square, considered a cultural and entertainment centre, is only 25 minutes away. From Istanbul Airport, the journey takes 40 minutes, depending on traffic.

Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Atakent Hospital aims to provide a different kind of healthcare to its patients with a capacity of 278 beds and 3 different room options (standard, double and suite). For the treatment of neonatal, infant and childhood diseases, very sensitive and especially fast treatment methods are offered. In addition, with its departments of oncology, gynaecology, ear, nose and throat diseases, cardiology and coronary arteries, neurosurgery, internal medicine and radiology, the university hospital offers services in all medical fields with state-of-the-art medical equipment, always with patient satisfaction in mind.

With its renowned team of doctors playing an important role in the selection of the hospital, the position of chief physician of Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Atakent Hospital has been filled by paediatrician Prof. Dr. Ayşe Korkmaz Toygar from Ankara University Medical Faculty since 2020.
