• Prof. Dr. Müslime Akbaba is an internationally recognized eye disease specialist in Istanbul, Turkey.
• Prof. Dr. Müslime Akbaba studied medicine at Cumhuriyet Medical University in Sivas, where she received her Doktor of Medicine degree in 1982.  In 1987, she completed her training as a specialist in ophthalmology.
• Prof. Dr. Müslime Akbaba practices as an ophthalmologist in all fields of ophthalmology in different hospitals in Turkey.
• She is currently working as a specialist in Istanbul at Acıbadem Hospital in Altunizade
